driving.

The objectives of the Pre-licensing Course are to:
- Define and recognize driving as a mental, physical and social
task which involves fit interactions of the operator, the environment
and the vehicles.
- Recognize the importance of protecting motor vehicle occupants
from possible injury or death by using all occupant protection
devices.
- Teach the rules-of-the-road which promote safe driving.
- Identify factors such as fatigue, alcohol and other drugs that
can impair a driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Recognize dangerous drivers and driving situations and learn
how to react safely, including aggressive driving, road rage and
work zone safety procedures.
- Understand the relationship between decision-making and reducing
risks while driving.
- STUDENT NEEDS TO BRING THEIR PERMIT, $30.00 (PLEASE BRING
THE EXACT AMOUNT IN CASH), A PEN (BLACK INK) AND LUNCH/SNACK MONEY.
- ** CASH PAYMENTS ONLY; CHECKS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED. **
- STUDENT NEEDS TO ARRIVE ONE HALF (1/2) HOUR BEFORE CLASS STARTS
TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION.
- THERE MAY BE A TWENTY-FIVE (25) QUESTION QUIZ AT THE END OF THE
CLASS BUT YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PASS THE QUIZ TO COMPLETE THE
COURSE. THE INSTRUCTOR CAN READ THE QUIZ QUESTIONS TO YOU, IF YOU
PREFER.
- NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING STUDENTS MAY ALSO BRING IN AN INTERPRETER,
IF YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE HAND.
- PLEASE CHECK OUR WEB SITE OR CALL TO CONFIRM THE DATES & TIMES TO MAKE SURE THE
CLASS HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED OR THE DATES / TIMES CHANGED.
- CLASSES RUN FROM 8:30 AM TO 2:00 PM.
- Classes are limited to 36 students.
- Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.
- Online registration may be done within one week of the class date.
